SOLARFEST 2024: That’s a Wrap - and Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who had a chance to participate in one of the Community Consultations and/or SOLARFEST 2024. It was an intense week of learning, connecting and doing together and we are so grateful to everyone who stepped up and contributed. There were so many people who were involved before, during and after SOLARFEST. We've had so many wonderful messages from our guests who traveled here from other parts of the state to participate (as workshop leaders, information booth presenters, funders, volunteers and presenters) and everyone was deeply impressed with our made-in Point Roberts approach to engagement and education. In addition to all of our partners - Parks and Recreation District, the Fire District, the Water District, the Library and Trinity Church, we want to acknowledge all the other community groups, businesses and artisans who provided support to us along the way. We also recognize that we couldn't have done it without the individuals who stepped up to help, and our donors - the Parks District, Fire District, an anonymous local donor, the Whatcom Community Foundation and the WA Climate Commitment Act.
