WA Clean Energy Decarbonization Grant application submitted!

We are excited about our Washington State Decarbonization Grant application for the feasibility studies for solar and backup on our community buildings. We’d like to thank all of the groups who provided us with letters of support and a big shout out to the Parks District for being the lead applicant. Thanks to the Parks District who provided the initial support, the Fire District and an individual donor, we were able to demonstrate community investment in this project.

Here's hoping that we are ranked well and we receive the grant. The total request was for $150k of which our community pledges would cover $17k, for a total grant request of $133k. Cascadia Renewables is our contracting partner and they were a fantastic support through this process, as was Kate Pedersen of Commerce who helped us strengthen our application.
